Connor Hall's first-half goal ensured that Millwall's Under 23s slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Bolton Wanderers in the Professional Development League on Monday night.
Hall struck in the 36th-minute to hand Kevin Nugent's side their first defeat in four matches, with Noel Leighton having a penalty-kick saved on the stroke of half-time.
David Ajiboye and Isaac Olaofe had chances in the first-half before Leighton's spot-kick was stopped by James Aspinall. Substitute Lucas Sinclair had a late second-half attempt saved as the young Lions looked to level the score, but to no avail.
Next up for Millwall is the visit of Leeds United to The Den on 9th April.
