Preview | Millwall v Nottingham Forest

A look ahead to Good Friday clash...

30 March 2018

Millwall return to action after the international break on Good Friday as they welcome Nottingham Forest to The Den in the Sky Bet Championship (kick-off 1pm).

The Lions head back to home turf unbeaten in 12 League matches and currently sit just four points outside the top six with eight games remaining.

However, Neil Harris' side will run into a Forest team without defeat in seven matches and rejuvenated under the stewardship of Aitor Karanka.

The manager has just one long-term absentee - Byron Webster - missing from his squad, whilst Ben Thompson will sit out the Easter period with an ankle injury.

The two clubs will meet for the 67th time on Friday. The historical score is tight, with Millwall having won 24 to The Tricky Trees' 22 since they locked horns for the first time in 1909.

Forest - somehow - opened their 2017/18 campaign with victory over The Lions at The City Ground in August, with the last encounter at The Den (in September 2014) finishing in a goalless draw - the same result that has followed the visitors around for their last three games against Norwich City, Derby County and Sheffield United.

Before Friday's game, volunteers will be holding bucket collections around the ground to raise money for King's College Hospital and their attempts to build a new Critical Care Unit. Dig deep! Click here for more details on the project.

There will be NO Zampa's Family Fun Zone ahead of Friday's game, but it will return for the final time before next Saturday's game against Bristol City.

The visit of Forest is SOLD OUT, so the club advises supporters wishing to collect tickets to arrive as early as possible to avoid long queues building before kick-off. The Ticket Office is open from 10am.

An in-depth interview with Millwall's assistant manager David Livermore features in the official matchday programme, which is on sale around the ground and costs just £3. Packed with all the usual interviews, stats, facts and features, make sure you pick up a copy!

For those unable to make it to The Den, full match commentary will be available on iFollow Millwall from around 12.50pm, whilst international subscribers will be able to watch all the action on iFollow. Click here for more details.
