The visit of Brentford in the Sky Bet Championship this Saturday will see Millwall's annual 'Kick It Out' focus match take place.
Show Racism the Red Card, in partnership with Millwall FC and Millwall for All, delivered its annual Show Racism the Red Card event at The Den on Monday 5th March 2018.
A total of 90 Year 5 pupils from Camelot, Ilderton and Bellenden Primary Schools in Southwark took part in workshop activities focussing on tackling Homophobic, Biphobic and Transphobic Bullying, before enjoying some football fitness sessions delivered by Millwall for All qualified coaches.
In addition, each school had the opportunity to visit the first-team changing room and have a tour around Millwall’s award winning Family Stand.
During the afternoon session, the pupils had the chance to watch Show Racism the Red Card’s latest DVD, featuring top professional footballers speaking about their past and present experiences of tackling discrimination in football and society as a whole.
The day concluded with a Q&A session with Nike's 'Nothing Beats A Londoner' advert star Leanne Cowan and England Under 19s international Ella Rutherford - both from Millwall Lionesses - as well as ex-pro Francis Duku from Show Racism the Red Card.
"Educating young people from local schools about racism and hate crime is important if we want to drive discrimination out of football and our community," said Francis.
