Aiden O'Brien's strike against Northampton Town at The Den on 14th April 2017 has been nominated for the 2017 Mitre Goal of the Year Award.
The strike, which saw the Irishman play a one-two of headers with Joe Martin before unleashing an unstoppable volley into the net in a 3-0 win, will be a part of 10 goals aired on the Channel 5 highlights show on Friday 30th March and Monday 2nd April.
Viewers will be asked to vote for their Goal of the Year by visiting efl.com/GOTY. Voting will open at 10.55pm on Friday 30th March and close at 9am on Tuesday 3rd April.
The top five goal-scorers will be invited to join the EFL at their 2018 Awards Night at the London Hilton on Park Lane on Sunday 15th April, where their goals will be showcased and a winner voted for on the night.
