Millwall Football Club is delighted to announce that Mahlon Romeo has signed a new long-term deal at The Den.
The right-back, who has made 89 appearances for The Lions since making his breakthrough in February 2016, enjoyed a successful 2017/18 campaign as Neil Harris’ men defied the odds to finish eighth in the Sky Bet Championship.
The 22-year-old featured 31 times as Millwall made a successful return to the second tier, while also finding the net once – in a 3-1 victory over Sheffield United at The Den in December.
Speaking to millwallfc.co.uk Romeo said: "I'm really pleased to extend my stay and really grateful to be at this club.
"It took a little while for me to get used to this League (after promotion), but I felt like I went from strength to strength as the season went on and enjoyed the challenge."
Manager Harris added: "Mahlon had to be very patient last year, at the start of the season Conor (McLaughlin) was performing excellently.
"Mahlon took his chance with both hands when he got it and fully deserves this new contract.
"We're delighted he's committed his long-term future to the club and look forward to watching him continue to grow on and off the field."
