Millwall's 2018/19 Sky Bet Championship fixture list has been released.
The Lions entertain Middlesbrough at The Den on the opening day (Saturday 4th August) before travelling to newly-promoted Blackburn Rovers the following weekend.
Past first day fixtures have thrown up a number of combinations and results for Millwall teams past and present.
Despite their dominance from start to finish at the City Ground in August 2017, The Lions slipped to a 1-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest in their first game back in the Sky Bet Championship.
The club's promotion campaign of 2016/17 got off to the perfect start on a sweltering day at The Den against Oldham Athletic. Lee Gregory's penalty set The Lions on their way early on, with strikes from Aiden O'Brien and Byron Webster either side of the half-time break easing Millwall to a 3-0 victory.
An equally hot day in Shrewsbury saw Gregory on the spot once more in a 2-1 win to kick off the 2015/16 campaign. Steve Morison notched the winning goal in the second half.
The Lions have not had it all their own way on the opening day, though - they did suffer a home defeat to Yeovil a year earlier, losing 1-0 courtesy of former Lion Ed Upson's late goal.
Take a look at our gallery of a selection of Millwall's opening day encounters above, including a goal from Steve Claridge in a 4-0 victory over Norwich City in 2001.
