Millwall to travel over 7,000 miles in 2018/19

Lions hit the road...

5 June 2018

Millwall will travel a total of 7,409 miles over the course of their 2018/19 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

The second tier of English football has lost Wolverhampton Wanderers, Cardiff City and Fulham to the Premier League and Sunderland, Burton Albion and Barnsley to Sky Bet League One, but has gained the sextuplet of Swansea City, Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion, Wigan Athletic, Blackburn Rovers and Play-Off winners Rotherham United.

The Lions' longest journey of the season will be to Middlesbrough, with a round total of 516 miles being clocked up when travelling from The Den to the Riverside Stadium.

The shortest, meanwhile, will be the quick hop over to Loftus Road, as Millwall travel just 21 miles to take on Queens Park Rangers.

Trips to Villa Park (Aston Villa - 282 miles), Elland Road (Leeds United - 412 miles) and The Hawthorns (West Bromwich Albion - 296 miles) will no doubt excite Lions fans, whilst the 27-mile round trip to Griffin Park, Brentford, will give supporters a brief respite from long awaydays.

Millwall's 2018/19 Sky Bet Championship fixture list will be published on millwallfc.co.uk at 9am on Thursday 21st June. Set your alarms!
