Millwall chief executive writes to by-election candidates

Kavanagh asks questions around CPO issue

8 June 2018

Millwall Football Club chief executive Steve Kavanagh has written to all of the candidates standing in the Lewisham East by-election on Thursday 14th June to request their view on three questions surrounding the New Bermondsey development scheme and Compulsory Purchase Order issue.

All candidates were asked the following:

1. Do you support the use of a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) over the Millwall land?

2. Do you approve of the sale of council land to private property developers?

3. Do you agree that Millwall Football Club should be a participant in any development of the land around its stadium?

The club has received replies from the below and will add to the list when those yet to reply do so, including, it hopes, a response from Labour candidate Janet Daby.
