International Round-Up

Aussie duo to star in FIFA World Cup...

4 June 2018

James Meredith and Tim Cahill have been selected in Australia's final 23-man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Finals in Russia.

Following a training camp in Turkey and a 4-0 victory over Czech Republic, the duo survived the final cull of The Socceroos' squad and will now fly to Russia to compete against France, Denmark and Peru in Group C.

Away from World Cup action, Conor McLaughlin was a part of history in Costa Rica as he and his brother Ryan, along with Jonny and Corry Evans, became the first sets of brothers to be on the field for the Green and White Army at the same time.

It was a night to forget, however, as Costa Rica ran out 3-0 winners.

Meanwhile, Lions goalkeeper Jordan Archer made his international debut for Scotland as the Tartan Army took on Peru, but goals from Christian Cueva (pen) and Jefferson Farfan secured a 2-0 success for the home side.
