Aiden O'Brien has stated that The Lions' pre-season trip to Portugal has been "a good stage" of the campaign for Millwall's new signings to come in.
Murray Wallace and - most recently - Ben Amos have joined Neil Harris' party for the 2018/19 Sky Bet Championship campaign, with the annual trip to the Algarve now entering its final stages.
Millwall have already tasted victory against local side S.C. Farense, with another behind-closed-doors friendly taking place on Sunday night.
O'Brien, speaking to millwallfc.co.uk, spoke of the bond between the squad and how Wallace and Amos can only benefit from the time away.
"It's been good - especially for the new lads," he said. "It's good for them to come in and do a tour because they get to know each other and all of us. We've been together every day and they've gelled well and they've mixed in with the boys.
"They've come in at a good stage of the season. It's all about working hard out here so that when you do get back into London it helps."
The squad have been put through their paces with numerous training sessions per day, but were given Saturday afternoon off to venture out and mix socially.
The attacker described how such events would help players "click" but also stated that focus is now on Sunday night's game.
"On Saturday we trained in the evening, so the lads had breakfast together and were then allowed to do what they wanted for a couple of hours. Most of the boys went down to the beach - as you may have seen on Instagram! - others stayed in their rooms and watched the football; that's another good time for the new boys to click with the others.
"It's been a good trip - we have a game on Sunday, so it's all about preparation now."
