The Lionesses Board was enormously impressed by Pedro's experience and achievements in women’s football and by his commitments to the visions of the Millwall family,” commented Culligan. “This is the beginning of an exciting and ambitious long-term project for The Lionesses. Our aim is to return Millwall Lionesses to the top flight of women’s football. Pedro will join the club as a new Director of Football and will be responsible of the vision and strategic plan for the future.”
The new boss added: “I have been really impressed and motivated with the new Board of Directors of The Lionesses and their ambitious plans for the future - I can’t wait to start working for the club. In spite of the difficulties from last season, the club has a clear strategy for the future and I am really honoured to be a part of this project.
Millwall Lionesses presents a unique opportunity for girls, women and coaches to develop. We want to offer an inclusive project for all, to encourage and inspire girls and women for life. The Lionesses' aim is to become the best club in London for the provision of Sport and Education opportunities for girls and women. We aim to develop young players to give them the opportunity to play for the first team. It is important that The Lionesses connect with the unique fan base and London community that is the Millwall family."
