Millwall Lionesses announce new First Team Coach

13 July 2018

The new Director of Football, Pedro Martinez Losa, would like to announce the appointment of a new First Team Coach for Millwall Lionesses FC.

Following the appointment of Martinez Losa on Thursday, The Lionesses are pleased to announce Chris Phillips as its new First Team Coach.

Chris has shown an incredible dedication and passion for any project that he worked for and was a key part of the development of many young players at Arsenal WFC,” said Pedro. “He will be a great addition to the project and will integrate very well in to the club’s philosophy and plans for the future.”

Meanwhile, new boss Phillips added: “I am thrilled to take up the position of First Team Coach of Millwall Lionesses. The directors put forward their new vision of how they wished to move forward and it matched my ambitions perfectly. I feel we can put together a young and hungry team that will represent the club’s values well and play entertaining football that spectators will enjoy.

"As a Londoner I would love to see us engage as much as possible with the wonderful fan base that Millwall FC has. It feels we are at the start of something new and special and I can’t wait to take the first session and start working for this fantastic club."

Millwall Lionesses' chairman Diane Culligan would like to welcome Chris to the club and looks forward to working with him on this journey
