Millwall Football Club will face 2. Bundesliga outfit VfL Bochum 1848 at The Den on Saturday 28th July (kick-off 1pm) in Jimmy Abdou's testimonial.
The career of the 33-year-old, who made 342 appearances during a successful 10-year stint at the club, will be celebrated in South London as The Lions finish off preparations ahead of their second season back in the Sky Bet Championship.
A firm fans' favourite, Abdou will forever be written in Millwall folklore for his crucial goal at Leeds United back in May 2009 - sending The Lions to the League One Play-Off Final at Wembley Stadium - amongst countless other unforgettable contributions and moments.
Kenny Jackett brought Abdou to the club from Plymouth Argyle back in July 2008. His first two seasons at The Den brought back-to-back appearances at Wembley, with The Lions first losing out to Scunthorpe United in May 2009, before going one better a year later as they edged past Swindon Town.
The 2011/12 campaign was another one to remember for the Comoros midfielder as he was named MSC Player of The Year.
Abdou celebrated another promotion to the Sky Bet Championship in May 2017, as Steve Morison's dramatic last-gasp winner against Bradford City won the League One Play-Off trophy.
