Ben Thompson – Portsmouth
Ben Thompson played 89 minutes for Portsmouth on Saturday as Kenny Jackett’s side claimed their eighth straight victory in all competitions, a 2-0 success over Southend United at Fratton Park. The midfielder was rested in midweek as the side won 2-1 against Arsenal U21 in the Checkatrade Trophy. Pompey now sit six points clear at the top of Sky Bet League One, with Ben playing a considerable role in their tremendous form.
Fred Onyedinma – Wycombe Wanderers
Fred Onyedinma played the full game for Wycombe Wanderers at the weekend as they made it three wins in a row, beating Barnsley by a solitary goal. Gareth Ainsworth's Chairboys side are now ninth in League One - four points outside the Play-Off places - with Fred's performances proving very encouraging for Lions supporters.
Tom King – AFC Wimbledon
Tom King was back between the sticks for AFC Wimbledon last Tuesday as The Dons were edged out 2-1 by Chelsea’s youngsters in the Checkatrade Trophy. Tom was on the substitutes’ bench at the weekend as Wally Downes’ side played out a 1-1 draw with Rochdale at Kingsmeadow.
Sid Nelson – Swindon Town
Sid Nelson played the full game for Swindon Town on Saturday as they returned to winning ways against Newport County, securing a 2-1 home victory. The Robins moved into the top half of Sky Bet League Two with the three points.
Dan McNamara – Welling United
Dan McNamara also featured for the whole 90 minutes for Welling United on Saturday as they were beaten 3-1 by in-form Torquay United at Plainmoor. Torquay sit atop the Vanarama National League South table following the win, with Welling just five points behind with two games in hand in fourth.
