Millwall Lionesses Club Statement

17 April 2018

Millwall Lionesses have today (Tuesday 17th April) released a club statement.

The statement can be viewed by clicking here.

Millwall Football Club is continuing to show its support to The Lionesses and is urging all fans, as well as the wider footballing community, to attend Wednesday night's WSL2 encounter with Aston Villa Ladies at St Paul's Sports Ground (kick-off 7.45pm).

Tickets will be available on the gate, whilst there will be bucket collections held outside the ground prior to kick-off.

The Lionesses are chasing Doncaster Rovers Belles at the top of WSL2 and Megan Wynne spoke of the need to "win every single game" to give themselves a chance of winning the League.

"We have to treat every game from now until the end of the season like a Cup Final," she said. "We have to win every single game to give us the best possible chance of winning the League. There are no easy games in this League and on Wednesday we are expecting a tough game against Aston Villa who will want to get their revenge after we beat them at their place.

"But, as always, we will focus on ourselves and if individually and collectively we do our jobs, we will be fine. We have got this far, and we are not about to give it up just yet."
