The manager calls for a repeat performance at Preston

22 September 2017

Millwall boss Neil Harris has stressed the importance of consistency ahead of Saturday's meeting with a "very talented" Preston North End outfit.

The Lions travel to Deepdale off the back of an impressive win over Leeds United and the manager has called for a repeat performance against the in-form Lilywhites.

"The Leeds game we can use as the benchmark," Harris told millwallfc.co.uk

"It's about backing it up at Preston. It will be a really tough game because they are in good form and have a talented young squad.

"They play with high tempo and high energy and we will certainly have to match that and be right at it on Saturday.

"The League would have taken note of our performances recently and we know that if we keep up those strong performances then the results will keep coming.

Forwards Lee Gregory (suspension) and Tom Elliott (injury) have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the Sky Bet Championship fixture.

"The players mentality and focus has been top draw this week and they are certainly looking forward to this nex challenge," Harris added.
