Millwall's Under 23s continued their Professional Development League campaign on Monday night with a 0-0 draw against Colchester United at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
A quiet first-half ensured a lack of clear-cut chances in front of goal, with Ryan Sandford having to be at his best in the second-half to save Louis Dunne's effort.
The U's hit the crossbar late on, but Millwall held on for a valuable point.
Next up for Kevin Nugent's men is the visit of local rivals Crystal Palace to Calmont Road, before a meeting with Cardiff City at Dartford's Princes Park.
Millwall: Sandford, McNamara, Chesmain, Donovan (Hanson 46'), Mbulu, Rooney, Olaofe (Neary 83'), Wicks, Brymora, White, Saunders-Henry. Subs not used: Jackson, Alexander, Debrah.
