Preview | Millwall Lionesses v Reading

30 November 2017

Millwall Lionesses to host Reading Women in the Continental Cup at St Paul's Sports Ground on Sunday afternoon (kick-off 2pm).

The Lionesses will take momentum from their unbeaten start to the WSL campaign but know they will be tested against a high-flying Reading outfit in this weekend's Cup tie.

“We've gone unbeaten in the League and we need to continue that," midfielder Leigh Nicol said ahead of the home fixture.

"We need to go and put up a fight and a show and show them again that we’re not just a WSL 2 side, we’re a side that is capable of playing WSL 1. That is going to be the aim to show other people and get people talking about how good this team actually is."

Following the Cup tie, The Lionesses will return to League action against Tottenham Hotspur on December 10.

"When we play Tottenham I think we have to go for nothing less than three points," Nicol added.

"Tottenham are an excellent team. They’re physical, they’ve played together for a long long time, so we need to be ready for them.”
