Report | Hull City 2-1 Millwall U23s

2 May 2017

Last-minute defeat for young Lions...

Millwall's Under 23s slipped to a narrow 2-1 defeat at Hull City in their final Professional Development League game of the season on Tuesday afternoon.

Will Annan gave the home side - who needed a win to qualify for the Semi-Finals - the lead on the stroke of half-time, but Harry Smith equalised for the young Lions on 54 minutes.

However, Tyler Hamilton's cross was turned into his own net by Paul Rooney late on to hand The Tigers all three points.

As a result, Millwall have finished in 2nd place in the Southern League table and will now face Sheffield Wednesday on Monday 7th May for a place in the Final.

In the other Semi-Final, Charlton Athletic will take on Hull.
