The Lions gained promotion to the Championship after two seasons in League One and the skipper believes the return was richly deserved.
Tony Craig lauded Millwall's success as the best way to silence his critics and admitted he had "taken a lot of flack" over the course of the season.
"Personally, there have been some hard times for me this year," he told millwallfc.co.uk
"I have had to take a lot and grind through it but I would go through it all again to lift this trophy. Walking up those steps to get that trophy was a dream come true for me.
"The player have all had each other's backs this season and the team spirit is phenomenal in the group.
"It has been a great season for the club. We got to the quarter-final of the Emirates FA Cup but getting promoted definitely tops the lot.
"It's been a long road to recovery and I have had to take a bit, but this makes it all worth it. I'll be the happiest man in London this week."
