Lions mourn former director...
Millwall Football Club were saddened to hear of the passing of former director Peter Martinelli, aged 86.
Peter was a lifelong fan of The Lions and a proud director of the club in the late 1970's and early 1980's, serving under Herbert Burnige, Leonard Eppel and Alan Thorne.
In his time on the board, Peter often enjoyed great camaraderie with the supporters through travelling to games on the same trains, as well as becoming one of the first directors to invite fans into the boardroom and the directors box on matchdays.
The name of Peter Martinelli stretches through four generations (pictured) of the family and remaining trio will be at Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon as The Lions look to gain promotion to The Championship via the Play-Offs.
