Lions defender reveals frustration at missing last season's Play-Off Final
This time last year Millwall were going through their final preparations for the Play-Off Final with Barnsley, a match in which Mahlon Romeo knew he would play no part.
A sending-off at Gillingham a fortnight earlier had effectively cut the Lions defender's season short, ruling the then 20-year-old out of the biggest game of his budding career.
"For me personally, it was a frustrating time," he told millwallfc.co.uk
"I wasn't involved last year and i'm really glad to be involved now. It's a huge experience for me and i'm lucky to be involved with a team that's playing in consecutive Finals.
"I'm soaking it all up and just can't wait for the big day to come around."
Millwall were ultimately beaten in last year's Final, but it's an experience that Romeo believes will benefit the club this time round.
"We can all use what happened last year, winning in the Semi-Final, getting so close only to lose at Wembley," he added.
"As a group, we know what these situations are like because we have been there before. We have an experienced team and that can only help us ahead of this huge, huge match.
"We know what we can do and what we're capable of. That in itself gives us confidence to go out there and do a job."
