"Togetherness will drive us," says Harris

Lions boss calls for fan support ahead of crucial Scunthorpe clash

Neil Harris believes the feeling of togetherness between fans and players can help The Lions reach the play-offs for the second consecutive season.

With just three games left to be played at The Den, Harris is determined to plot Millwall's route back into the top six and says home support will be crucial in the push for promotion, starting against Scunthorpe on Saturday.

"There's a reason we are twelve games unbeaten at The Den. It's because of the togetherness between the players on the pitch and the fanbase," Harris told

"We have had a little break away from The Den and now we look forward to coming back and getting in front of our fans.

"It's a huge game for us and we have a point to prove against Scunthorpe because we were beaten at their place before Christmas. Coincidentally, that defeat is what set us on our really good run.

"What comes first, is it the players getting the fans off their feet or is it the fans lifting the players? It has to go hand in hand, but for this game on Saturday we need the fans to get behind us from the very first moment."
