Lions nominated in League One category at the EFL Awards
Millwall have been nominated in the Nickelodeon Family Club of the Year for League One category at the prestigious EFL Awards, which take place in London on Sunday 9th April.
The Lions are up against MK Dons for the family award, which recognises the clubs who have gone above and beyond to provide an outstanding experience for young supporters and families all year round.
Zampa’s Family Stand, the go-to area for families on matchdays at The Den, continues to go from strength to strength and has undergone yet more improvement in the past 12 months.
Elsewhere pre-match Sports and Family Zones have proved popular, as has half-time entertainment on the pitch.
There has been memorable player appearances, including the one at Junior Lions partner Frankie & Benny’s in Surrey Quays, plus regular visits on the Millwall blue bus to various London locations, improved Guard of Honour and player escort experiences and, new for this year, an initiative where a free shirt is presented to Junior Lions on their seventh birthdays.
All other shortlists for the 2017 have been revealed as clubs, players and fans come together to recognise the stars of 2016/17 across all three divisions in 14 different categories.
