Justin Skinner leaves Millwall

8 March 2017

EDS boss departs The Den

Justin Skinner, Millwall's U23 Elite Development Squad manager, has left the club after nearly seven seasons.

Justin has been an integral part of the club's Academy coaching, having worked his way up from being manager of the U16s to his current role, taking over from Neil Harris as boss of the U23s. He leaves us with the U23s team in second position in their League, after last season's similar second-place finish in the national Cat 2 Play-Offs against Huddersfield.

He has worked tirelessly with players to aid their progression into the first team squad, and we are seeing evidence of his work through the development of Ben Thompson, Sid Nelson, Fred Onyedinma and many others now breaking into the first team.

Justin has decided to move on and try different challenges elsewhere and everyone at Millwall wishes him the very best as he embarks on a new chapter in his career.

Following this decision the club has put Scott Fitzgerald in charge of the U23s until the end of the season when a recruitment process will be undertaken.
