Winger believes rock-solid home form is key to gaining promotion
Jed Wallace has encouraged his Millwall team-mates to use the pain of their Emirates FA Cup defeat to push for promotion to the Championship.
The Lions' giant-killing run came to an end at Tottenham on Sunday and, while the winger admits it was a "difficult afternoon," it's a match he's determined to learn from.
"It's a kick up the bum for us," Wallace told millwallfc.co.uk
"It serves as motivation and shows that we have to lift our intensity.
"We were never planning to win the FA Cup at the start of the season, we were always planning to get promoted. That still remains our priority, getting promoted to the Championship."
The Lions remain unbeaten at The Den since December and Wallace believes defending their home record will be crucial in the business end of the season.
"There are eleven games to go and the four remaining home games are must win games, starting with Bury on Saturday" Wallace added.
"Our home form usually takes care of itself, we get on top of teams and we are difficult to play against. That has to continue until the end of the season.
"If we win eight of the remaining games then we know we are going to be there or there abouts for promotion. We have everything to play for and can't afford to take our foot off the gas."
