Chopper targets Cup giant-killing actLions boss Neil Harris is relishing the prospect of taking on Premier League opposition at The Den in the Third Round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
Millwall face Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth who gave Arsenal a mighty fright in Tuesday night’s 3-3 draw at the Vitality Stadium, a game watched by Chopper, and which merely confirmed what he already knew.
“We go into this game as underdogs but it is one we are really looking forward to. From our point of view this is an opportunity for our players to measure themselves against a top ten Premier League outfit.
“I’m sure a lot of Premier League clubs will make significant changes to their teams for this weekend’s FA Cup ties, but whatever side Eddie Howe puts out on Saturday will be full of quality. He has built a very talented squad at Bournemouth and has done a remarkable job to get them to where they are.
“The FA Cup is a brilliant competition and we would love to progress as far as possible, both from a financial point of view, but also because matches like this are what you are in the game for. To get into the draw for the Fourth Round would be a great achievement because we will have to be at the top of our game to cause an upset.
“I’m sure the crowd at The Den will create a special atmosphere for this one and hopefully that will drive our players on to another proper Millwall performance.”
