Millwall boss excited by Cooper arrival

19 January 2017

The manager speaks following the arrival of defender

Neil Harris has followed the career of Jake Cooper for some time - and is delighted to capture the defender on loan until the end of the season.

After the signing of Jed Wallace earlier in the day, Cooper arrives at The Den from Sky Bet Championship side Reading.

The 6'7" centre-half will train with his new team-mates on Friday and will hope to be involved in the squad for the trip to Bradford City this weekend.

Speaking on the move, Harris said: "He's a player that I've followed for a period of time now. I saw him play in The Championship last year and I've followed him this year as well.

"He's a centre-half that attacks the ball well in both boxes, he's got an excellent left foot and he'll add real competition to a squad which I feel was a little bit light in the defensive area.

"I'm certainly looking forward to working with the lad."
