Millwall skipper relishing prospect of Emirates FA Cup Third Round cracker against Bournemouth
Skipper Tony Craig is relishing the prospect of Saturday's Emirates FA Cup tie with AFC Bournemouth at The Den.
Both The Lions and Cherries go into action on the back of high scoring draws - Millwall a 2-2 at AFC Wimbledon and Bournemouth a 3-3 epic against Arsenal.
But as history has shown time and time again, the form book often goes out of the window when it comes to the FA Cup and the League One Lions will be aiming to cause an upset at the expense of Premier League Bournemouth.
"As a Football League club I think you always relish the prospect of getting a Premier League side at home when the draw for the Third Round of the FA Cup is made," TC told millwallfc.co.uk
"We have been rewarded for reaching this stage of the competition with an exciting and very tough encounter.
"Whilst we go into this tie knowing we'll have to be at the top of our game to beat Bournemouth, we won’t be overawed.
"This is a massive opportunity for ourselves, individually and as a team, to show a wider audience just what we are capable of, and it’s a challenge we will rise to I’m sure."
