Millwall defender juggling family and football with new arrival
Shaun Hutchinson has had plenty to smile about - on and off the field - since returning from injury last month.
The in-form Millwall defender has helped the Lions to a four game unbeaten run and has recently celebrated the birth of his baby daughter, Phoebe.
"It's been a fantastic period for me," he told millwallfc.co.uk
"My partner gave birth two days before Christmas and we couldn't be happier. I have made good progress since coming back from injury, the team is doing well and now I have a little baby daughter.
"She was due midway through December so when we travelled up to Scunthorpe or the home games I would be on the phone to the physio and constantly checking in to make sure everything was alright," laughed the new father.
The 26-year-old hopes the positive vibes continue on the pitch when Millwall host AFC Bournemouth in the Third Round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday.
"They are a quality Premier League side so we are under no illusions that this will be a big test for us. We will have to get in their face and do everything we can to keep Bournemouth at bay," he added
Millwall expect the Cherries to be hungry to 'right the wrongs' of their midweek match with Arsenal. Bournemouth put three straight goals past Arsenal before the Gunners fought-back to record a dramatic 3-3 draw.
"The looked very good in the opening half but hopefully the fact that they conceded three late goals will hurt their confidence a little bit, but we will have to wait and see on Saturday."
