Help those less fortunate by donating a sleeping bag

Lions supporter Ayse Smith has earned praise for her unstinting work collecting sleeping bags for homeless veterans - and will be back at the Zampa Road gates prior to kick-off when Millwall host Peterborough United this Tuesday night.

Ayse, pictured here with Lions striker Steve Morison, has become a familiar face to many fans and has urged fellow supporters to continue helping out those less fortunate by supporting the UK Homes 4 Heroes charity.

She said: "I'm looking for people to donate sleeping bags for homeless veterans. Blankets and quilts are OK too, but sleeping bags are better for them to carry around. Hats and gloves are also much appreciated, but more are definitely needed. Please have a dig around at home or in your loft."

UK H4H directors Michelle Thorpe and Jimmy Jukes MBE, said: "UK Homes 4 Heroes Pride & Passion is a registered charity for Homeless Ex-Service Personnel, founded in Bermondsey in 2010.

"We would like to thank all the staff and supporters of Millwall FC for your generosity towards your local charity. Together we can make a difference."

Ayse added, "If you don't have anything spare, but would still like to make a donation, you can buy online here. If it doesn't automatically come up with the following address, please send to: TLRtowers, 127 Brow Crescent, Orpington, Kent, BR5 4LW."
