"Luck has been on my side," insists O'Brien

Goalscorer praises team-mates ahead of Foxes fixture

Winger Aiden O'Brien has deflected praise of his recent form in front of goal onto his Millwall team-mates, after an impressive run which has seen the club unbeaten across all competitions since mid-December.

The instinctive 23-year-old received a kind deflection before slotting his twelfth goal of the season against Port Vale on Saturday, laying the platform for a comfortable 2-0 victory that cemented The Lions in the play-off places for a second week.

"I feel like things have been falling for us lately," he told

"It's always good to score in front of the home fans and help the team climb the table.

"As a player up front you have to keep getting into dangerous areas. Luck has been on my side and has allowed me to score twelve goals this season, but a lot of credit has to go to my team-mates and how well we have been playing lately."

The Lions are preparing to host the Premier League champions on Saturday but say there's no danger of being overawed by the occasion despite an Emirates FA Cup Sixth Round position being up for grabs.

"We will go out there and enjoy ourselves because it's a free-hit of sorts. The League is our main priority and it's nice to have a match against a big Premier League team without the pressure.

"They're not doing too well this season, but at the end of the day they are still the Premier League champions. If we can beat them and continue our Cup run it will be a huge result for us and the fans."
