Harris bemoans lack of "ruthlessness" in Chesterfield draw

21 February 2017

"We've got to win games like that," the manager states

Neil Harris cut a frustrated figure following Millwall's 0-0 draw with Chesterfield in Sky Bet League One on Tuesday night.

The Lions peppered The Spireites' goal throughout the game, creating 16 attempts on target, but could not find a way past Thorsten Stuckmann.

The result, however, does keep Millwall's unbeaten run in tact, extending it to 14 matches.

"We've dominated about 95% of the game," said Harris. "The shot count will be telling. Shots on goal, shots on target, shots off target - it could have been a cricket score.

"Some of our play was excellent. The positions we got in were really, really good for 15 minutes and certainly in the second-half, but we've got to be clinical.

"I'm delighted with another clean sheet. It wasn't our most dominant one, but we've got it anyway to get us the point. But, we should be winning tonight's game. We've got to win games like that.

"There's so many aspects of the game tonight that I'm really pleased with. The overriding feeling at the moment, though, is that we didn't get the three points. We've got to find that ruthlessness that gets us over the line."
