Tom Elliott will be given "every opportunity" to prove his fitness for the clash with Norwich, according to Lions boss Neil Harris.
The forward limped off the pitch after straining his ankle in Tuesday night's Carabao Cup tie at Reading and will be monitored ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet Championship fixture at The Den.
"We will have to see how we progresses over the next 48 hours," Harris told millwallfc.co.uk
"He has had a huge impact, either off the bench or starting matches for us.
"We hope he will be one hundred percent fit and the call to include him will most likely be made just before kick-off."
Elliott may not be the only player to be given a late fitness test following Millwall's midweek tie that stretched to extra time at Madejski Stadium.
"Going to extra time wasn't ideal," Harris added.
"We had a few knocks, bruises and tired legs after that match. It'll be a case of waiting to see how everyone pulls through ahead of Saturday.
"The boys are hungry for this one. When you look at the fixtures, this is one of the ones that stands out and everyone wants to be involved.
"Norwich will bring a big following and we need our fans to turn up on Saturday, be the extra man and keep up that outstanding support."
