Millwall open up their Carabao Cup campaign by welcoming Stevenage to The Den on Tuesday night (kick-off 7.45pm).
The two clubs will meet for the second time in a fortnight after the goalless pre-season friendly draw at the Lamex Stadium on 25th July.
After a strong but ultimately fruitless performance at Nottingham Forest in The Lions' opening Sky Bet Championship encounter last Friday night, Lions boss Neil Harris will look for his squad to bounce back in a competition that the manager "will take very seriously."
"For me it is imperative to approach every fixture with the same mentality - with a desire and determination to win," said Harris. "We want to get a result to kick-start our campaign and continue that momentum and confidence we’ve got following promotion and since a very impressive performance on Friday.
"Stevenage will come here looking to cause an upset and defeat a Championship club, so we will have to be every bit as good as we were last weekend if we are to secure our place in the Second Round. The Carabao Cup is a competition that I'll be taking very seriously, as I always have done in my time in charge of this club."
Those on the fringes of Friday's squad will look to be involved against Boro, with the likes of Mahlon Romeo, Tom Elliott, Ben Thompson, Byron Webster and Fred Onyedinma hoping for a starting berth, whilst the XI that so gallantly performed against The Tricky Trees will look to maintain their places in the team.
The tie must be finished on the night at The Den, with extra-time and an ABBA penalty shoot-out required if necessary.
