Millwall Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Nugent as its new U23 Elite Development Squad manager.
The 48-year-old, who featured for Leyton Orient, Plymouth Argyle, Cardiff City and Swansea City during his playing days, will begin work with Millwall’s U23 squad this week.
The arrival of Nugent, a former coach at Swansea, Orient, Charlton Athletic and, most recently, Barnet, sees Adam Barrett take up a new position as first team coach working directly alongside Neil Harris and David Livermore.
“I’m delighted to welcome Kevin to the club,” Harris told millwallfc.co.uk.
“He has a wealth of experience in both Academy and first team football and both Scott Fitzgerald and I felt he was the perfect person to take up this position.
“Kevin will come in and help oversee the development of what is a talented group of players with a view to more and more becoming regular first team players for the future.”
