Lions reveal outcome of discussions with The EFL

4 August 2017

Millwall Football Club notes the statement released by The EFL today (Friday 4th August, 2017).

(See EFL statement here)

The club’s chief executive officer, Steve Kavanagh, has been in liaison with Shaun Harvey of The EFL since the League One Play-Off Final in May with a view to repairing reputational damage suffered by both the club and the League as a result of the post-match pitch incursion.

The club has relaid the outcome of these discussions, which were concluded this morning, with the Millwall Supporters Club, Micky Simpson, the Fan on the Board, and its Board of Directors. It was also discussed at the Fans’ Forum earlier this week.

New measures to be implemented during the early part of this new season will see, amongst other things, the EFL and Millwall collaborate on how tickets are sold for away games.

They are designed to be fair and proper for the club’s core supporters who provide outstanding backing of the team week-in, week-out, season after season.

Further details will be announced in due course.
