Teams news ahead of Millwall's trip to Port Vale

26 September 2016

Boss Harris facing selection dilemmas

Millwall will be forced into at least one change for Tuesday's trip to Port Vale in Sky Bet League One (7.45pm).

Lions midfielder Ben Thompson was sent off for a second bookable offence during Saturday's 3-2 defeat to Rochdale at The Den - a decision which the club can't appeal - so Calum Butcher and Jimmy Abdou are the two leading candidates to come in from the start at Vale Park.

Aiden O'Brien limped off during the first-half of Saturday's game having scored the equaliser and then won the penalty which Lee Gregory converted, and he is set for a scan to determine the severity of his injury ahead of Tuesday's fixture.

The Irishman started in right midfield against Dale so winger David Worrall and forward Fred Onyedinma are two potential options boss Neil Harris has should O'Brien not make it.

Joe Martin is available again after suspension and looks likely to go back into the squad but Shaun Cummings and Shaun Hutchinson are not yet ready for a first team return.
