Millwall v Coventry City - the stats

Read our numbers guide to Saturday's game

Millwall will be aiming to edge ahead in the all-time head-to-head record of results when The Lions lock horns with Coventry City at The Den on Saturday (3pm).

The two teams meet for the 72nd time in all competitions this weekend with both winning 29 of the previous 71 encounters and the remaining 13 fixtures finishing all square.

In keeping with the stats, the recent history of meetings between The Lions and Sky Blues is equally too close to call. Last season Coventry recorded a stinging 4-0 win at The Den and followed up with a 2-1 success at the Ricoh Arena in a game that saw Millwall finish with 10 men after Shaun Williams was sent off.

However the previous two matches during 2011/12 were equally productive for The Lions as a Shane Lowry goal sealed a 1-0 away win after goals from Darius Henderson (2) and Liam Feeney had secured a 3-0 victory earlier in the season at The Den.

Neil Harris' current Lions squad have been in fine fettle on home soil since the turn of the year and only last weekend saw a fantastic run of eight straight League One home wins - two short of the club record - come to an end with a draw against Bradford City.

That impressive run of home wins in the League stretched back to 5th March when Millwall eased to a 3-0 victory over Blackpool. In fact since a 0-2 reverse at the hands of Scunthorpe in February, only Wigan and Bradford have smuggled a point away from SE16 with a 0-0 and 1-1 draw respectively.

Tickets for Saturday's game are on sale up until kick-off from the Millwall ticket office.
