Defender Shaun set to get match minutes under his belt

Shaun Cummings is in line for a welcome return to match action when Millwall U23s face Birmingham City at St Andrews this evening (7pm).

Right-back Shaun has been sidelined since February with a knee injury, but is now back in full training and set to get some match minutes under his belt tonight.

Manager Neil Harris confirmed: "Shaun will be playing, it is his first match action of the season. The plan is to give him around 45 minutes, but there is no pressure. It has been a long road for him and it is just great to have him back involved again."

Winger Kris Twardek and goalkeeper Ryan Sandford have both returned from international duty with Canada U20s and England U18s respectively, with Sandford likely to take his place on the bench after playing for Millwall's U18s at the weekend.

The travelling squad also includes two players involved with the first team on Saturday; goalkeeper Tom King was an unused sub against Coventry City whilst Jamie Philpot came on with a couple of minutes to go in place of Aiden O'Brien.

Millwall U23s squad: Tom King, Ryan Sandford, Shaun Cummings, James Brown, Danny McNamara, Rian Bray, Paul Rooney, Noah Chesmain, Kris Twardek, Harry Donovan, Kyron Farrell, Eze Ebuzoeme, Lewis White, Harry Smith, Jamie Philpot, Kyron Mundle-Smith.
