Millwall U23s looking to make it five wins in a row

31 October 2016

Young Lions head west to face Bristol City this afternoon

Millwall's buoyant U23s travel to Bristol City on Monday afternoon aiming to receord a fifth successive Professional Development League win.

Juston Skinner's side kicked off the new season with a couple of narrow defeats, but have put those firmly behind them and are now unbeaten in five games, winning the last four against Nottingham Forest (1-0), Leeds United (2-0), Crystal Palace (1-0) and most recently, QPR by a 5-1 scoreline.

What has been a pleasing feature for the boss is theb fact that eight of the nine goals scored in the past four matches have come from a different player. Alfie Pavey is the one exception, scoring two goals.

This afternoon's match sees the welcome return to the starting line-up of defender Christian Mbulu, who marked his first 45 minutes of football following a lengthy injury lay-off with a goal at QPR last week.

Young striker Harry Smith was on the bench for the senior side in Saturday's 2-1 success at Oxford United and he is expected to partner Pavey up front, whilst U18s prospect Lewis White is also set to feature.

Squad: King, Cummings, Chesmain, Donovan, Mbulu, Rooney, Twardek, Farrell, Smith, Pavey, White, Girling, Bray, McNamara, Ebuzoeme, Mundle-Smith.
