Shane Ferguson and Mahlon Romeo star for Northern Ireland and Antigua & BarbudaMillwall duo Shane Ferguson and Mahlon Romeo have both been on international duty this weekend - and played starring roles for their respective nations.
Left-back Fergie was in the starting line-up for Northern Ireland, who marked their first game at the new Windsor Park with an emphatic 4-0 Group C World Cup Qualifying victory against San Marino.
Ireland took the lead with a first-half penalty from Steven Davis, however it took three goals in 11 second-half minutes from Kyle Lafferty (2) and Jamie Ward to turn their stat of 74 per cent possession into further goals. Fergie was the provider for goals number three and four with trademark pinpoint deliveries from the flank.
Right-back Mahlon impressed for Antigua & Barbuda, who quickly recovered from the disappointment of their 3-0 defeat at the hands of Curacao to sweep aside Puerto Rico 2-0 in the CFU Caribbean Cup Qualifier on Saturday evening.
A goal in either half from Peter Byers and Stefan Smith did the damage to secure a comfortable win.
Mahlon and his Benna Boys teammates must now wait for the outcome of Tuesday's final qualifying game, and hope that Puerto Rico pull off a shock win against Curacao, in order to progress to the next round of play-offs in their bid to qualify for the Gold Cup.
