Cummings and Hutchinson in line for action against Palace

17 October 2016

Defensive duo set to feature for Millwall U23s this afternoon

Defensive duo Shaun Cummings and Shaun Hutchinson are both set to feature for Millwall U23s in this afternoon's Professional Development League match against Crystal Palace at Bromley FC (2pm).

The two players expect to take another positive step in their rehabilitation on their way back from a knee and hamstring injury respectively.

There is also a welcome return to the squad for centre half Christian Mbulu, who could start on the bench having been sidelined through injury since just before the end of last season.

Striker Jamie Philpot, who was an unused sub for the first time in Saturday's 3-1 League One win at Northampton, is in line to partner Kyren Mundle-Smith in attack, whilst the likes of Gregg Wylde, Noah Chesmain and Kris Twardek are also likely to get a run out.

The Lions go into action on the back of successive wins against Nottingham Fores (1-0) and Leeds United (2-0) so will be aiming to make it three in a row against Palace.

Admission at today's game is £5 adult and £1 U16s.

Millwall squad: Harry Girling, Ryan Sandford, Shaun Cummings, Noah Chesmain, Harry Donovan, Rian Bray, Shaun Hutchinson, Danny McNamara, Noel Leighton, Kris Twardek, Kyron Farrell, Jamie Philpot, Lewis White, Christian Mbulu, Kyren Mundle-Smith, Gregg Wylde.
