U23s coach's reaction after 1-1 draw with Cardiff CityJustin Skinner admitted his side didn't quite fire on all cylinders on Monday afternoon when the Millwall U23s were held to a 1-1 draw at The Den by Cardiff City in the Professional Development League.
Speaking to millwallfc.co.uk he said: "We were a little below par. We made a good start and played well in patches after that. There were times in the second half when we created chances but with the changes we had to adjust and lost our rhythm.
"David Worrall was always going to come off after an hour anyway, but it looks like Jamie Philpot picked up an ankle injury.
"Overall though, it's going well. At the moment we have players moving up from the U18s to the U23s and from the 23s up to the first team, so it's important to keep continuity in the way we all play.
"All the teams are getting results, and with the likes of Harry Smith, Paul Rooney and Kyron Farrell getting a taste of first team football in the last week or so, there is encouragement for everyone to show what they can do."
