"It couldn't get any better than that" says Harry Smith

Millwall's young striker reflects on an unbelievable week

Harry Smith may well wake up this morning and pinch himself, wondering if the last few days have been a dream.

The young Lions striker has every reason to as well; scoring two goals on his debut to clinch a 3-1 midweek win at Luton Town and then following up with a goal on his Football League debut for Millwall in Saturday's 4-0 trouncing of Bristol Rovers.

It's fairytale stuff - and the former Folkestone Invicta frontman is loving being at the very heart of the story!

"It's a bit surreal," Harry told "I had to borrow a lot of the lads' season tickets to get all my family here for the game!

"After Tuesday I didn't think it could get any better than that, but to make my League debut at The Den and score a goal, it couldn't get any better than that.

"Tuesday night, Luton had a lot of young players out, but the gaffer told me it would be tougher against experienced centre-backs at this level who have played a lot at this level or higher.

"It was difficult and more physical, but I thought I did quite well and I felt I could have scored before the goal eventually came.

"Lee Gregory and I worked together in training for a couple of days and I managed to set him up for a goal which he took well.

"The last week has all been a bit of a blur, but it's been fantastic and just great to play at The Den."
