Lions boss praises two-goal debut striker

Neil Harris praised the contribution of all three debutants as Millwall ensured that they finished top of Group H with a 3-1 Checkatrade Trophy win at Luton Town.

Whilst Kyron Farrell and Paul Rooney earned the plaudits with excellent displays in midfield and defence respectively, striker Harry Smith grabbed the headlines with a two-goal show.

"I thought it was a good solid Millwall performance and the difference between the two sides was Harry Smith," boss Harris told millwallfc.co.uk

"I think Paul Rooney and Kyron Farrell performed really well. Kyron used the ball in midfield really well and on the whole, I was really pleased for all the young lads.

"This is six wins in seven for us and I really wanted to go out and win tonight. We look forward to the home tie next round, that will be important for us progressing in this competition."
