Fractured finger rules Millwall keeper out of Euros
Millwall goalkeeper Ryan Sandford has been forced to withdraw from the England U17s squad after a scan revealed a fracture to a finger.
Ryan had flown out to Azerbaijan last week as part of Steve Cooper's squad for the European Championship Finals.
He was an unused sub as the young Lions kicked off their group matches with a narrow 2-1 defeat by Sweden U17s on Friday night.
But following a scan to an injured finger, the teenage goalkeeper was forced to pull out of the squad and can play no further part in the tournament.
Ryan returned home on Sunday and will be replaced by Ipswich Town's Nick Hayes, who has joined the squad ahead of England’s second match against France on Monday evening.
