Youngster takes great encouragement from progression of Mahlon Romeo and Ben Thompson
Kris Twardek has put pen to paper on a new one-year deal at The Den and is already looking forward to the challenge of next season.
The 20-year-old left sided midfielder player has overcome the frustration of being sidelined with a broken toe to become a vital member of Millwall's successful U21 side.
His form caught the eye of Lions boss Neil Harris who named Kris amongst the subs for the games against Fleetwood, Bury and Oldham.
"I came very close to getting my debut too," recalls the Czech Republic U19s international. "I was stripped and ready to come on but the ball didn't go out of play so I didn't make it which was very frustrating at the time.
"I feel I have got back towards my best form at the end of the season, and I know the next one is going to be an important one for me.
"It's a real encouragement to see the likes of Mahlon Romeo and Ben Thompson making the breakthrough this year. Not only are you pleased for them, but it's also an incentive for you to follow them.
"The next week or so is hopefully going to be very exciting. If we can get the job done against Bradford on Friday night it will be wonderful to be part of a Millwall squad that is going to Wembley for a Final with the chance of promotion."
