Come on down for our 'Know the Score' bowel cancer charity match
A mouthwatering line-up of Millwall legends including Gary Alexander, Matt Lawrence, Richard Sadlier, Phil Walker and Jimmy Carter are set to grace the hallowed Den pitch for our annual Legends match tonight in aid of Nicky Johns' 'Know the Score' bowel cancer charity (7pm).
Know the Score, supported by the Professional Footballers’ Association and League Managers Association, aims to raise awareness of bowel cancer signs and symptoms.
Others confirmed in the Millwall squad are Nicky Johns, Kevin Bremner, Alan Dunne, Mark Beard, Jimmy Carter, Bobby Bowry, Mark Phillips, Matty Lawrence, Stuart Nethercott, Peter Sweeney, Marvin Elliott.
Bowel cancer is the UK's fourth most common cancer, with 41,000 new cases each year. It's also the second biggest cause of cancer death. Every 90 minutes three people die of the disease. That is 44 people each day - the equivalent to four football teams - but it needn't be that way.
