Gary Alexander - From super striker to super fan!

27 May 2016

Former Millwall forward will be at Wembley to back the boys

Gary Alexander will go down in history as the man who scored arguably the greatest goal in any Wembley Final, against Scunthorpe United in 2009.

A year later, he was an unused substitute as The Lions made up for the disappointment of defeat on that previous occasion by beating Swindon in the 2010 Play-Off Final, and this Sunday he will be there again in a different capacity.

"The whole family can't wait for the game," says lifelong Millwall fan Gary, who is now manager at Greenwich Borough.

"Neil has done a fantastic job, the spirit's definitely back and there's no better way to win promotion than through the Play-Offs.

"I've been to Wembley four times as a player and now I'm looking forward to doing so as a fan. Chopper will have the team well prepared and I'm confident we'll do it."
